3.11.13-MRI

Woke up to mark making bacon and eggs for breakfast. A very welcome thing since I went to bed last night pretty somber. Sometimes walking by ruby's empty room makes me sad...last night I just needed a good cry.

I dropped the girls at the neighbors and am now at the hospital. Ruby had her last feeding at 8 this morning and will just have fluid in her IV until this afternoon since she is scheduled for an MRI about 2:30. Wednesday morning the doctors will conference about what to do next with Ruby. I washed her fuzzy hair and she opened her beautiful eyes.

after a hair washing. nice face ruby.

....and now its 9pm.
resting before her MRI
After I wrote that part above, Ruby decided to scare the heck out of me and have an SVT episode (super high heart rate...she's usually around 150-170, it was over 300!). Not cool girlfriend.  Luckily after a few minutes she got out of it herself. But, they are watching her close and are prepared to give her drugs (like adenosine) which would essentially stop her heart (hello freaky) and restart it.

After going home for a break and few bouts of postpartum crying :), Mark and I went back to see Ruby while Liz took the girls to wheeler farm. I recognize that its not that I'm not grateful for what I have, but relative to what I've experienced in my life, this is hard.  Ruby's face is once again a little puffy from the extra fluid from her IV this morning since she couldn't really eat. She's super sleepy and will be for a day or two, but she did awesome and ate her 5pm feeding all from a bottle (which she hasn't done since biopsy last week).  I held her on my chest and kissed her head a bazillion times.

We came home to dinner delivered by a neighbor. Mark played with the girls outside until it got dark and then we lingered as we did bedtime stuff.  Love my girls...and Mark :)

My new goal is to play a few Children's Hymnbook songs each day. I just go in order. Today I played our Nursery prayer song -- "We begin by saying dear Heavenly Father..."
Reminded me of you! Miss you! I love reading your updates on you, your family and Ruby. Praying for all of you!
Love,
Angela
