Getting better

My sister is starting to heal from her surgery, and gets better every day. She can't pick up her daughter for a couple more weeks, so we've been able to help out which is SO fun for us. Little Katerbug is the best!

New Utah Tourism ad

So I had a little bit of fun today creating a new ad for the great state of Utah. I will definitely have to take it up to Mr. Huntsman - he's been anxiously awaiting this for some time now. Be sure to look for it on billboards, magazines, and on tv here in the next few weeks...

Gardening

I just remembered how much fun I had last Saturday when I took some time to garden. Mark was in New Hampshire shooting a wedding, so it was something fun to keep my busy on a Saturday afternoon.

I wanted to show off my pretty hanging plant...I got the basket from Em & Jess for my birthday a year or so ago, and just got new plants for it.
The big pot with one tiny lonely flower should look different soon. Tim & Liz Jenson gave out a paper note at their wedding that was embedded with wildflower seeds. We'll see if I can get them to grow!




A Thank You is due to my mom who always was in the garden early Saturday mornings and gave me a green thumb.

Memorial Weekend

What do you do when you get some sort of flu bug and stay home (not feeling well, at all) from work? You drink sprite and watch tv... and catch up on your blog.

Memorial weekend (which also happen to be our 3rd Anniversary on May 26th!) Mark and I went up to Midway to spend good times with Em & Jess. Although the weather was a little dreary and cold, it was nice to get out of Salt Lake. I guess if you stay within a certain radius of your house it would be considered a "staycation" not a vaycation.

For our anniversary we spent the morning up in Midway (best sticky buns ever) and then headed home. We stopped by home depot to pick up a few things... finished painting the drawers for the baby's room and cleaned some shelves. We made BLTs (romantic, I know), rented 'Saving Grace'...really good movie, and ate lots of gummy candy.
