New Things

This morning my sister Liz and I hiked a new trail. We parked just off the Little Cottonwood Canyon road just above Wasatch Blvd. There is a parking lot/trail head that goes up to Bells Canyon that I just noticed a few weeks ago. I'd never been up it and Liz couldn't remember it. We didn't get too far, but now I know what I've been missing! Its a 3 minute drive from my house, has a beautiful view with reservoirs and waterfalls along the way.

Another 'new thing' is this yummy recipe out of Real Simple I made this week. I also sauteed some zucchini in olive oil, salt/pepper along with it. We bought a big bag of frozen salmon from Costco. We usually get the fresh fillets, but you get more for your money with the frozen.

Everyday is new to me regarding my pregnancy. This week I feel like I've finally gone from 'Is she getting chubby?' to the 'I'm pretty sure she's pregnant' phase. I can feel little movements and do lots more walking than running now. If there is anyone reading this that is thinking about getting pregnant or already is, I highly recommend checking out 'A Child is Born' from the library. It's an FYI about exactly how you get pregnant but also has the the most amazing pictures. Oh, and we find out the sex of the baby next week!

Ali I am so excited for you. Congratulations. You will make the greatest mom. I want to play with you and Liz. Name a time and a place and I'm there.
