Vegetable Town

Have you ever heard the 'Snack Time' album by the Bare Naked Ladies? I just got it from the library, its pretty funny (both for kids and adults).
fun at the grocery store
I'm half way through another Whole30 round. I initially did it, again, to support my brother/sister in law, sister, and neighbor, but am glad I'm doing it now for myself. Last time I added in dairy/grains/SUGAR way too fast and never paid as much attention as I had wanted to to what my bother my digestion. (and I ate a lot of sugar over the holidays and it was getting hard to step away. When I'm doing a Whole30 its a game to me. I can't cheat because I want to win:) Its nice to know what foods may give you bowel and intestinal issues, just for the sake of comfort. More importantly, 70% of your immune system is in your gut, so the healthier the better. Love your guts! I'd highly suggest everyone to do a Whole30.

I have 3 friends who are due within 3 days of each other right now. How crazy is that?!  I'm looking forward to holding their little ones! As crazy as this phase of life is right now for me and many of my friends, it's a good kind of crazy. I just love snugglingsqueezingpinching my little ladies and their soft cheeks. Right now I'm reading NurtureShock, about the latest studies and science behind kids development. Its a good read. It has rekindled my desire to keep learning and improving as a parent. I feel like I put so much effort into seeing my kids progress and improve, that sometimes I have to remember it can be more helpful to improve myself as a mother.

Lately I've felt like I can always always be trying hard to save money. There's the whole water-heater-is-about-to-die looming over our heads,  the cars need repair and I admit we have a jar for our trampoline fund, but the bigger motivation would be paying off our house and going on a mission(s). I've been so inspired by my nephew (serving in Scotland/Ireland), my cousin and her family (serving in Prague), and a couple in our ward (senior missionaries who just got back). Mark and I will be great mission companions! side note: tonight we had an FHE on the Holy Ghost. Its is hard to have a lesson, but I really felt the Spirit and was moved by Siri and Jane's reception to what we were teaching them. It gave me hope to keep on keeping on.

Nothing too exciting around here though, the usual. Trying to keep choking hazards out of Ruby's reach, working on being patient with each other. Going to the gym, looking forward to spring weather.

You can ask Mark about this amazing ad

She could watch music clips from Frozen forever and ever and ever and
chocolate pudding at Grandma's!
