Our house is progressing in phases, our kids are going through phases (Siri's being getting out of bed 3 times after we put her to bed so she can tell us "something really important" and Jane wandering into Grandmas bathroom to play with pill bottles and lipstick), and Mark and I are entering a new phase of parenthood.
This weekend is the paint-till-we-faint phase. The house still has lots of work, but painting is a huge step and I will be so excited to not have to use the shop vac as often. I never knew I'd vacuum so much before even moving in. We had hoped to move this weekend, but our new goal is to move in before Halloween. We have so many wonderful people helping us with everything from the paint to mowing our lawn, to building a fence.
Those are all things we are able to do ourselves, but when your husband travels, you have 2 little ones and are so tired a sick from being pregnant it can make things tricky to do on your own. Oh yes, let's talk about that. Another phase and reason to move in! The sooner we move the sooner I can think about new baby #3 arriving (and not about sprinklers leaking or kitchen cabinets)! I am 13 weeks and due in March. We will be zone defense parents. These little ladies are going to be big sisters!
Which brings us to- I can't believe Mark and I are turning 30 and drive a minivan-phase. We sold our subaru and got a Mazada MPV. So far so good. I'll miss having a car that is all wheel drive, but how great that we can fit other people in the car besides ourselves if we need to.
We've gone to the cabin a few times this summer and been swimming lots.
Jane got her first haircut. Goodbye little mullet.
Siri is 4!
I would be really happy if these two could end up together someday.

Congrats on expecting #3! Your house is looking great. I am totally jealous of your van.
