Burley, Idaho and more

I love going to the middle of nowhere to do the Spudman triathlon. The weather was perfect, water temp was nice, and it was a little cloudy during the first part of the run. I couldn't have asked for better circumstances (except to have Mark there). I went up with Bridget, James, Bill, Milt, and Sandy. B and I did the whole thing and James, Bill, Milt did it as a team while Sandy watched Siri. Even our hotel was nice, the Best Western has been redone since I was there.

breakfast at 6:30am

This is the first year I wasn't out of breath before I started. I actually felt calm during the swim, it was a great feeling. I was at the front of a bike pack of about 20 of us and we had a lot of fun chatting with each other (except the girl that rode by and called us all out for drafting...tattle tell). The run was a little lonely at times, but doing a half marathon makes 6 miles seem short. It was great to have people cheering me on at the finish and to have Siri there. And she was so good the whole time, even with all the driving.

Siri fell asleep just after I crossed the finish line, what a good sport to wait for me.

And how could I forget to mention that "team procrastination" got 2nd place! Hold those Spud trophies high boys. (p.s. Bridget did it faster alone that the guys did it as a team!)

Meanwhile Mark was in Tahoe, then Santa Cruz, then home in SLC to shoot 3 weddings in 2 days...being busy is good!

The other night Mark played tennis with 4 of his brothers at our neighbor's court. I was so happy to watch them play. Its great to see so many brothers who love each other enough to spend time together, and they're all such good (and competitive) tennis players.

And the best news of all...

My mom and John moved into their beautiful new house last weekend, Hooray! Its close to a miracle and I'm so happy for them. Tonight we'll finish cleaning up the condo they were renting. Life never slows down...my mom starts a new job on Monday.

Now let's just cross our fingers that Justin's fam can find their perfect house so they can have a place to live!
